CMI Team Leader Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled CMI Team Leader to join our team at Ampa - Legal & Professional Services. As a CMI Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of CMI assistants and ensuring the consistent operational delivery of CMI services across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage workloads effectively, monitoring volumes and priorities, and liaising with requestors as appropriate.
  • Maintain service level agreements and report metrics around client satisfaction of service.
  • Work hands-on as part of the team onboarding clients, opening matters, and preparing bills.
  • Research, identify, and verify new clients using the firm's systems and online tools.
  • Proactively work with other team members to ensure relevant documentation is produced to meet internal and external clients' expectations and deadlines.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating high-quality service outputs and behavior.
  • Work with the Central Services Manager to flag potential training requirements for the team.
  • Provide expert assistance to the team and firm in relation to AML rules, client onboarding, and matter opening.
  • Show initiative when responding to queries and actively seek solutions to problems.
  • Continually promote the services across the firm.
  • Be the SME for international clients.

Requirements:

  • Sound understanding of AML rules and KYC requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience of problem-solving and building and developing relationships with clients and peer groups.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SRA client conflict rules.
  • Advanced IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience of using document, case, and practice management systems.
  • Effective communicator, able to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent team player, sharing in team goals to provide excellent quality and efficiency of service.
  • A proactive, professional, and flexible approach to work.
  • Sound organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
