Job Title: Social Work Practice Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Work Practice Manager to join our Child Protection (CP) / Child in Need (CIN) team in Manchester.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of social workers, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality child protection and child in need services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers within the CP/CIN team, ensuring effective delivery of child protection and child in need services.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to social workers, ensuring that practice is of the highest standard.
  • Oversee case management, ensuring timely and effective intervention and support for children and families.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local policies, maintaining the Local Authority's outstanding level of service.
Requirements:
  • Previous management experience in a social work setting, preferably within CP or CIN teams.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex cases and guide social workers through challenging situations.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality services within tight deadlines.
  • SWE Registration (Social Work England).
  • Extensive experience in child protection and/or child in need services.
