We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Outreach Play Specialist to join our dynamic team at Rainbows Children's Hospice. As a key member of our team, you will provide therapeutic and generic play and leisure activities for babies, children, and young people receiving end-of-life care in their homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual programmes of activity for babies, children, and young people in their homes and community settings.
- Support family members in creating meaningful and enjoyable memories with their loved ones.
- Advise and support family members on specialist play and provide recommendations on suitable activities.
- Carry out complex and sensitive conversations with families regarding end-of-life care and provide recommendations on suitable activities and timings.
- Fully qualified Health Play Specialist registered with HPSET.
- Experience working with babies, children, and young people of all ages.
- Experience working with babies, children, and young people with complex and/or palliative care needs.
- Ability to travel around the East Midlands and access rural locations.
