About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Independent Health Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medication across all our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert pharmacy leadership to ensure effective policies and processes are in place for the safe management of medicines.
  • Advise and support the Medical Director, Chief Nurse, and other clinicians on the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
  • Ensure Independent Health Group has safe and effective processes in place for the safe management of medicines, ensuring compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
  • Lead improvement workstreams as required to enhance patient care and treatment.
  • Maintain registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and ensure continued professional development.
  • Provide training related to medicines management as required.
  • Undergo annual individual performance review.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree (BSc/MSc Hons) and current membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (desirable).
