The successful candidate will cultivate and exhibit expertise in their clinical knowledge and operational capabilities across various departments, including but not limited to, Acute & Emergency Care, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Education & Training, Formulary Management, and Medicines Optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the specialist clinical pharmacy service within designated wards, adhering to both local and national standards to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
- Deliver specialized pharmaceutical care to patients while collaborating with healthcare professionals to promote the safe and appropriate use of medications.
- Act as a resource for specialized advice in clinical areas, engaging in multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Support the Lead Pharmacist in the Education & Training sector by providing training and clinical supervision to pharmacists and trainees.
Person Specification
Education & Qualifications
- Pharm/BSc in Pharmacy.
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
Experience & Knowledge
- Substantial post-registration experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services across various specialties.
- Proven track record in providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services.
- Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in pharmacy education and training, including mentorship roles.
