Job Overview

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Youth Care Specialist to join our team in Treforest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily activities and interests of children and young people
  • Promote independence and wellbeing among the young individuals
  • Attend weekend getaways, holidays, and trips with the children
  • Participate in weekend and evening activities to support the children's interests
  • Ensure the safety and protection of the children from any health and welfare risks
  • Provide emotional and practical support to the young people within the care home
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to guarantee the safety of the young individuals
  • Support, overcome, and learn to minimize incidents when behavior can be challenging

About You

To be successful as a Youth Care Specialist, you should have:

  • A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • An empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months experience working with children or in a similar Social Care setting
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • A current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK

Salary

£13.38 - £26.76 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, offering a competitive hourly rate.
