About the Role

Quality Care Recruit is partnering with a reputable care provider to find an experienced finance professional to support the finance team. This role will enable the Finance Manager to focus on high-level management accounts by overseeing essential finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer invoices for approximately 225 clients on a fortnightly basis, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.
  • Oversee payroll for around 100 employees, including month-end payroll close and pension submissions, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate direct debit payments from customers, ensuring seamless collections and minimizing defaults.
  • Provide exceptional customer support via telephone, resolving queries and escalating issues to colleagues as necessary.
  • Manage outstanding balances and ensure timely collections, maintaining a positive cash flow for the organization.
  • Submit and oversee invoices for customers under local authority care, ensuring accurate billing and timely payments.
  • Assist in the general running and administration of the finance department, providing administrative support as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: A well-rounded background in accounting and payroll, ideally with experience in the care sector.
  • Qualifications: While an AAT qualification is desirable, candidates qualified by experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Proficiency in payroll and invoicing processes, excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Attributes: A collaborative team player with strong communication skills and the ability to handle customer interactions professionally.
