Job Description:

The European Commercial Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in L.E.K.'s European Commercial Team, driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and process optimization.

This dynamic position reports directly to the European Chief Commercial Officer and collaborates closely with leaders of commercial functions to foster stakeholder engagement, measure performance, and prioritize initiatives to deliver exceptional client outcomes and drive top-line growth.

Main Areas of Focus:

  • Operational Support: Analyzing outcomes, streamlining processes, enabling stakeholder communication, budgeting, and cost analysis for all commercial functions.
  • Business Performance Reporting: Pipeline and sales conversion analysis, sector revenue performance vs. budgets, revenue mix analysis by sector, service line, client segment, and geography.
  • Pricing Strategies: Analysis and deployment of pricing strategies, including strategic discounting, client acquisition, and client value analysis.
  • Revenue Budgeting: Supporting detailed revenue budgeting, managing the matrix of sectors and service lines.
  • Digital Enablement: Optimizing enterprise software and data assets, deploying generative AI and ML to improve processes and reveal insights.
  • Go-to-Market Coordination: Critical areas, e.g., European private equity, new service lines, geographic expansion areas within and beyond Europe.
  • Key Account Management: Support for development and maintenance of complex strategic relationship frameworks & loyalty programs, and coordination of client listening initiatives.
  • Complex Proposals and RFPs: Support for complex proposals and RFPs.
  • Synthesis of Market Sentiment and Business Intelligence: Communicating back to stakeholders.
  • Ethical Wall Processes: Supporting ethical wall processes where required to protect clients and mitigate risk for L.E.K.
  • Regional and Global Bodies and Initiatives: Support across regional and global bodies and initiatives where EUR CCO is involved.
  • Independent Development of Insights and Recommendations: Presenting them in relevant forums.

A successful Commercial Operations Manager will have experience in a consulting firm or closely adjacent organization (private equity, internal corporate strategy, etc.) with a track record of high performance across analytical/technical capabilities and senior stakeholder engagement/PMO capabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Independently manage a varied and dynamic set of priorities.
  • High degree of commercial acumen and experience working on high-stakes strategic and organizational issues.
  • Ability to engage with a large roster of senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent quantitative analytics skills, including fluency in Excel, plus experience with advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx).
  • Masterful MS Office skills, with particular ability to develop presentations for C- and Board-level audiences.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop rapid fluency in relevant enterprise software platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, SharePoint) and other applications in the commercial/finance/marketing tech-stack.
  • Primary and secondary research abilities.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable.
  • Intellectually rigorous and curious.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a strategy consulting environment or equivalent.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.
