This role offers the opportunity to work with our research teams on innovative projects at the intersection of neuroscience and AI. Our Intelligent Systems Research Centre is a leading hub for computational neuroscience, neurotechnology, and brain-inspired AI.

As a researcher, you will contribute to advancing our understanding of decision-making and learning processes in the brain, as well as developing brain-inspired AI algorithms.

The three available PhD scholarships are:

  1. Two scholarships focused on bridging fundamental cognitive computational neuroscience of decision-making and learning to brain-inspired AI algorithms;
  2. One scholarship focusing on neurotechnology and machine learning.

You will have the chance to work alongside experts in neural systems, neuro-technology, and computational neuroscience, as well as being part of a vibrant community with access to state-of-the-art facilities.

We offer a competitive salary package, including tuition fees, a maintenance allowance of £19,237 per annum, and a Research Training Support Grant of £900 per annum.
