Are you a materials science expert looking for a challenging role? Agratas is seeking a Cathode R&D Lead to join our team in Oxford. As a key member of our research and development team, you will lead the development of next-generation cathode materials for Li-ion batteries.

Job Description:

We are committed to advancing high-performance, state-of-the-art cathode materials with an emphasis on materials sourcing and supply chain alignment. Your expertise in cathode materials, including NMC, NCA, and next-gen chemistry, will be crucial in driving material innovation, validation, and scalability.

You will conduct cutting-edge research to develop and optimise cathode materials, focusing on high energy density, cycle stability, and safety for Li-ion cells. You will also perform rigorous electrochemical and physical testing of new cathode materials to validate performance and compatibility within the cell.

Your collaboration with supply chain and sourcing teams will ensure that raw materials meet performance specifications and sustainability standards. Additionally, you will drive innovation in cathode chemistries, such as high-nickel or cobalt-free materials, to meet the demands of future-generation Li-ion batteries.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct cutting-edge research to develop and optimise cathode materials.
  2. Perform rigorous electrochemical and physical testing of new cathode materials.
  3. Collaborate with supply chain and sourcing teams to evaluate raw material quality.
  4. Drive innovation in cathode chemistries.
Requirements:
