Job Overview

We are seeking a part-time Payroll Clerk to join our team in North Ayrshire. As a meticulous and organized professional, you will be responsible for managing the full payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage salaries, overtime, bonuses, statutory deductions, and pensions.
  • Handle starters, leavers, P45s/P46s, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.).
  • Maintain GDPR-compliant payroll records and submit required HMRC updates.
  • Manage auto-enrolment pension contributions.

About You:

We are looking for a payroll professional with at least 3 years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of PAYE, NIC, RTI, and auto-enrolment processes, and proficiency in computerised payroll systems—experience with SAGE Payroll is a plus.

A CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential. You will need solid technical skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with an up-to-date understanding of HMRC legislation, including statutory payments and tax rates.
