About the Role

Vision for Education - Plymouth is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the education of students in secondary schools across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support in Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 classes in the absence of the teacher.
  • Deliver pre-set work for a variety of subjects to ensure a consistent continuation of education for pupils.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
  • A degree qualification.
  • Experience working with young people in some capacity, such as coaching or mentoring.
  • A passion for working with children and young people.
  • Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to use initiative and think on your feet.
