We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at HIRING PEOPLE in Cambridge. As an HR professional, you will provide key administrative and transactional task support to the HR function of the business.

Job Description:

  1. Support the HR Function:
    • Understand and uphold current established HR policies and processes
    • Act in a support capacity on employee case work, policy changes, and HR project work as directed by the HR Manager
  2. Recruitment Process:
    • Process recruitment approval paperwork and gain relevant sign-offs
    • Set up and create vacancies in the HRIS & Arcus website
    • Advertise vacancies on Job Boards
    • Assist in screening/shortlisting applicants
    • Schedule interviews
  3. On-Boarding Process:
    • Prepare standard employment contracts for review
    • Schedule new joiner start dates and co-ordinate inductions
    • Set up onboarding in HRIS
    • Administer background screening and employment reference check process
    • Enrol employees in compulsory training
    • Issue End of Probation letters
  4. Payroll Process:
    • Update monthly payroll changes spreadsheet with new joiner details, leaver details, promotions, pay rises
    • Update EOR (International payroll) portal changes
    • Upload required payroll documents to 3rd party payroll platform
  5. Benefits Provisions & Employee Training:
    • Respond to employee queries and provide benefits information
    • Submit new joiner forms to 3rd party benefits providers
    • Add/remove scheme members, update payroll where relevant
    • Update annual employee reward records
    • Administer Holiday Trading Scheme
    • Action elective training requests and issue documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a general administration role
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and company information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and effectively problem-solve
  • Proficient technical ability and aptitude

The salary for this position is approximately £16,200 per annum, based on a pro-rated full-time equivalent of £27,000 for 21 hours per week.
