Job Title: Lead Maths Educator and Mentor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Maths Educator and Mentor to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group. As a Lead Maths Educator and Mentor, you will be responsible for leading and developing maths curriculums, teaching maths to students with neurodiverse needs, and working closely with teaching assistants to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning, particularly with students who require additional support.
  • Work closely with students to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Work one-on-one with students or in small group settings to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Support teaching assistants in effectively supporting students with their learning needs.
  • Support the delivery of maths across the school and have oversight of the subject as a whole.
Requirements:
  • Ability to teach maths to Level 2 (GCSE/Functional Skills)
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience – the students you teach will be neurodiverse, which can impact their learning behaviour and communication needs.
  • A driving licence – our students love to learn in a wide range of settings.
  • A genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs.
