About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple initiatives within the Debt Transformation Programme. Located in London, United Kingdom, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals with at least two years of project management experience, ideally in public sector organizations or central government departments, who are eager to grow and develop within a large organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with teams to align project objectives with departmental goals.
Progress Monitoring and Risk Management
  • Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables, escalating issues or delays to senior management as needed.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and progress reports, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project life cycle.
Risk and Issue Management
  • Identify and analyze potential risks and issues, supporting the creation and implementation of effective mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including policy, IT, and operations, to ensure smooth project execution.
Governance Adherence
  • Ensure all projects comply with DWP standards, policies, and governance frameworks, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Contribute to identifying lessons learned and refining processes to enhance the efficiency of future project delivery.
