Estimator for Cleaning and Facilities Services

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support our Bids Team in gathering, processing, and presenting key data for new Cleaning, Grounds Maintenance, and Facilities Services contracts.

This individual will work closely with the Chief Estimator to study and interpret tender documents, conduct site visits across the UK, and calculate Labour Time, Materials, and Associated Costs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Interpret contract documentation to identify pricing requirements
  • Analyse asset data to identify gaps and raise clarifications
  • Identify and analyse risks, such as TUPE and KPIs
  • Develop accurate and concise notes on contract documentation
  • Create bespoke Excel costing spreadsheets for each tender
  • Arrange site visits throughout the UK and work to tight deadlines
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure all specification requirements are captured and costed
  • Apply a consistent approach when pricing proposals at multiple sites
  • Manage multiple tenders at different stages of pricing
  • Lead solution innovation
  • Upload key data and present cost plans to external customers and the Board
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are followed
  • Review and assess performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Exceed customer service delivery expectations
  • Track and report on KPIs

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in the Social Housing sector
  • Experience with costings of staff and time
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and IT literacy
  • Ability to build and populate extensive Excel spreadsheets
  • Full UK Driver's Licence essential
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
