We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to join our team at a local business. As a Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality welds and training/coaching employees in accordance with welding procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and write welding procedures and maintain records.
  2. Support NPI welding and product manufacture procedure activity.
  3. Train/coach employees in welding procedures and assess/appraise welders.
  4. Ensure total weld quality throughout the company for manufactured products.
  5. Identify process changes and improve management of audit systems related to weld quality.

Requirements:

  1. Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 & 5817.
  2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  3. CSWIP Certification.
  4. Experience within a fabrication welding business.
  5. Self-motivated and ability to manage a team.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
