About the Role

MCC Label is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Daventry. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our label production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of labels for any defects.
  • Splice rolls together using scissors and tape.
  • Set up and operate multiple slitting units.
  • Perform precision slitting of jobs as per specifications.
  • Pack jobs efficiently upon completion.
  • Create core/shipper labels, certificates of compliance, and packing lists.
  • Set up and operate the 100% visual inspection unit.
  • Splice rolls according to customer specifications using the splicing table.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the rewinder in line with schedules.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Inspection Team Leader and Print Trainer, supporting staff assessments and training new team members.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Proficiency with IT systems, including in-house database software.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • A high level of responsibility, reliability, and flexibility, combined with a strong work ethic.
  • A strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace.
