About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Trainer to join our client in Daventry. This is a permanent position with a salary range of £38,000-£40,000 (D.O.E) and a working pattern of Monday-Thursday 7am-5:15pm and Fridays 7am-1pm.

About the Company

Our client is a well-established engineering manufacturing business with a long history of success. They are now looking to expand their welding team to meet the demands of a growing workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and develop the welding team and new starters
  • Design and write welding procedures and maintain records
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal departments on weld procedures
  • Analyse high rates of weld repairs and give guidance for improvement to reduce wastage
  • Responsible for total weld quality throughout the company for manufactured products
  • Identify process changes/improvements
  • Train/coach employees in accordance with welding procedures and assess/appraise welders
  • Manage the audit system related to weld quality and internal auditing
  • Support NPI welding and product manufacture procedure activity
  • Set, operate, and maintain MIG and TIG machines and related tools and equipment
  • MIG weld mild steel

Requirements

  • CSWIP certified
  • Competent knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 15614-1 & 5817
  • Fabrication welding experience with both MIG and TIG
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to lay out a welding project
