Job Description:

The role of a Welding Trainer is crucial for our client, a well-established engineering manufacturing business based in Daventry. As a Welding Trainer, you will be responsible for training and developing the welding team and new starters to ensure the highest quality welds throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training and developing the welding team and new starters
  • Designing and writing of welding procedures and maintenance of records
  • Providing technical guidance and expertise to internal departments on weld procedures
  • Analysing high rate of weld repairs and giving guidance for improvement to reduce wastage
  • Responsible for total weld quality throughout the company for manufactured products
  • Identifying process changes/improvements
  • Training/coaching employees in accordance with welding procedures and assessment/appraisal of welders
  • Management of audit system related to weld quality & internal auditing
  • Support NPI welding and product manufacture procedure activity
  • Setting, operating and maintaining the MIG and TIG machines and related tools and equipment

Requirements:
  • CSWIP certified
  • Competent knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 15614-1 & 5817
  • Fabrication welding experience both MIG and TIG
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to lay out a welding project
