Quality Assurance Role
We are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Specialist to support our Supplier Quality business unit in Daventry. As a key member of our team, you will gain valuable experience in quality management and develop skills to become an expert in the industry.
This role is ideal for students who qualify for a placement year and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of quality management systems for high, medium, and low-risk suppliers.
- Maintain and update Cummins Quality Systems Management (CQMS) and Source Release activities through reporting and administration.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and support supplier selection and visits.
- Complete 6Sigma Yellow Belt Certification and lead a 6Sigma Green Belt project to improve Supplier Quality processes.
- Identify and resolve project issues in collaboration with the team.
- Participate in community engagement as part of Cummins' commitment to Corporate Responsibility.
Requirements
- Working towards a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a Business-related degree (Supply Chain / Quality / Project Management).
- Self-motivated and confident to work independently with proactive time management and prioritization of tasks.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to define and solve problems in a disciplined approach.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
