We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic PhD researcher to join our team at the University of Cambridge, working on a collaborative project between the Department of Pharmacology and the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (CSCI), in partnership with AstraZeneca.

The project, entitled \"Therapeutic cancer prevention of hereditary cancers\", aims to test various therapeutic options to prevent the development of breast cancer in high-risk individuals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with a multidisciplinary team, including computational biologists and experimentalists from the University of Cambridge and AstraZeneca.

Applicants should have, or shortly expect to obtain, a first or upper second-class degree from a UK university, or an equivalent standard from an overseas university, in a relevant subject such as cell or developmental biology, or biochemistry.

Funding is provided for the studentship, covering maintenance fees and the University Composition Fee, with effect from 1 October 2025.
