Nursing Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Nursing Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with intellectual disabilities, providing holistic and evidence-based assessments, and delivering therapeutic interventions to meet their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support with holistic and evidence-based assessments of children and young people with intellectual disabilities
- Contribute to multi-professional assessments and formulations of the needs of children and young people
- Work closely with families and the education and social care systems to empower them to help the child/young person achieve their goals
- Assist registered nursing staff and other health professionals to deliver a wide range of nursing interventions, including the treatment of multiple chronic conditions, learning disability, autism, and social vulnerability
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Understanding of the needs and difficulties of children with intellectual disabilities
- Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to recognise own limitations in the context of the nursing associate role
- Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
- Ability to participate in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Completion of Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification
