We are seeking a skilled Nursing Associate to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a Nursing Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with intellectual disabilities, working closely with families and the education and social care systems to empower them to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Support with holistic and evidence-based assessments to identify the needs and difficulties of children with intellectual disabilities.
- Contribute to Multi-professional assessment and formulation of the needs of child and young person, working closely with the entire Learning Disability Community Team.
- Deliver, under supervision, specific therapeutic interventions to meet the physical, emotional and psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of individuals and carers.
- Hold a caseload of patients and be supervised by a registered Nurse.
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
- Completion of Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
- Experience of working with individuals in emotional distress and/or behavioural challenges.
- Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload, work on own initiative, and recognise own limitations in the context of the nursing associate role.
