About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Associate to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a Nursing Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with intellectual disabilities, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, evidence-based assessments and interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the assessment of children and young people with intellectual disabilities, working collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Hold a caseload of patients and receive supervision from a registered Nurse, ensuring high-quality care and support.
  • Contribute to Multi-Disciplinary Team working, delivering holistic, evidence-based assessments and interventions.
  • Deliver specific therapeutic interventions to meet the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of individuals and carers.
Person Specification
  • Understanding of the needs and difficulties of children with intellectual disabilities.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own delegated workload.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to recognize own limitations in the context of the nursing associate role.
  • Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans.
  • Ability to participate in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities.
Requirements
  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Completion of Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
