A talented opportunity has emerged for a Strategic Business Growth Specialist to join our Business Development & Marketing team at one of our regional offices.

Your Role and Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Strategic Business Growth Specialist will be responsible for developing strategies, planning, and managing business growth activities and pipelines to support business expansion and ensure delivery of strategic goals for their aligned business unit.

As part of the Marketing and Business Development Team, this role will collaborate closely with Marketing colleagues, particularly the Acquisition and Campaigns Team, to acquire and nurture growth from new and existing relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing business growth strategies for the aligned business unit, focusing on maximising profitable revenue, building new business pipelines, and meeting evolving client needs.
  • Collaborating with other Business Development Specialists across all Business Units to identify, drive, and capitalise on opportunities in each market.
  • Utilising reporting systems, dashboards, and data insights to track and monitor activity, ensuring optimal ROI.
  • Dedicated time spent in-market, identifying opportunities, attending meetings to secure new clients, and developing new relationships – leading to strategic, profitable growth.
  • Staying up-to-date with the Group's legal and financial services and products to advise others and promote these to external clients.
  • Preparing business cases and proposals to support growth-driving opportunities.
  • Responsible for assigned key accounts, intermediaries, panels, partnerships, to support growth, with action plans to achieve appropriate objectives, research, and knowledge sharing across the firm.
  • Developing presentations and proposal documents, accompanying partners on new business pitches where necessary, in conjunction with the Bids and Acquisitions Team.
  • Supporting the launch and adoption of new propositions and packages.
  • Representing the expert voice and representation of the client in the relevant market, ensuring our approach is relevant, facilitating account management, and acting as a sponsor of work.
  • Collaborating with our Responsible Business Team to bring the Responsible Business strategy to life through business development, identifying new opportunities to create new relationships or partnerships, and using it to build relationships with existing clients and contacts.

About You

We're seeking an experienced Strategic Business Growth Specialist who has achieved business development targets, is personable, and results-driven. Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience working in business development or sales and marketing roles.
  • The ability to interpret and make effective use of data to inform sound decisions and encourage others to do so.
  • Proven experience and ability to be proactive and engaged in external markets, developing relationships with clients, contacts, or intermediaries.
  • An obsession with delivering exceptional client care, constantly seeking to delight clients. A leader by example, encouraging outstanding client service.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a market-facing, multi-disciplined marketing and business development team in a medium/large organisation.
  • Huge flexibility, collaboration, and creativity, thriving on change, challenging the status quo, and continually seeking innovative ways to improve.
