About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Kitchen Staff Member to join our team at JCC Greater Boston. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring food safety and kosher standards are met.

As a Food Service Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced kitchen staff to prepare meals for campers, including meal prep, cooking, and plating. You will also assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals for campers, including meal prep, cooking, and plating
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory
  • Participate in menu planning and preparation
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve kitchen goals and objectives
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service industry an asset
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and multitask
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards an asset
  • Possesses a positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with children
