Primary School Support Staff Member

An outstanding primary school in East London is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to provide support and assistance to pupils.
- Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress and reporting back to teaching staff and parents as required.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils who require additional help.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, adhering to the school's policies and procedures.
- Liaising with external agencies and professionals as needed.
It is desirable to have relevant qualifications and experience working with pupils with special educational needs. A patient, empathetic attitude and willingness to undertake further training are also essential. The salary for this position will be around £29,000-£31,000 per annum, depending on experience.
