At Fred Perry, we're looking for a skilled Shop Manager Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Store Manager in their absence, taking charge of cash handling, banking, and administration.
  2. Manage till operations in line with the Fred Perry operations manual.
  3. Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve KPI budgets, communicating targets to staff and motivating them to meet agreed goals.
  4. Assist with stock control, including receipting transfers, monitoring stock levels, and preparing stock for presentation.
  5. Provide excellent customer service, offering expert advice on our product range and its benefits.
  6. Familiarize yourself with the shop operations manual, personnel, and Health and Safety policies.
  7. Communicate KPI results to Head Office and Area Manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
  8. Inform the Store Manager of any issues or non-compliance with Fred Perry policies and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Proven experience in retail management, with a strong track record of building effective teams and motivating employees.
  2. Strong initiative and leadership skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to business needs.
  3. Understanding of various retail concepts, including gross margin, markdowns, and visual merchandising.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
