Senior Visitor Experience Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at Newark Park, a beautiful historic house, garden and estate located in the Cotswolds. As a key member of our property leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering exceptional visitor experiences that bring our unique history and atmosphere to life.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Property Operations Manager to shape every aspect of the visitor experience, ensuring it is informed by our history and atmosphere.
- Plan and deliver a programme of events, including seasonal and ongoing events, to inspire regular visitors and new audiences.
- Lead on marketing, volunteering, interpretation, and signage to ensure high standards of presentation and service throughout the site.
- Collaborate with the house, garden, and estate teams to understand our spirit of place and ensure consistency in our visitor experience.
- Supervise volunteers and line manage one staff member, the Visitor Experience Officer.
- Experience of delivering inspirational engagement activities to varied audiences.
- Experience of producing interpretation or marketing material, with an eye for quality and visual design.
- Experience of working with and supervising volunteers.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to talk to and get on with all kinds of people.
- Understanding of an audience-led approach and the ability to evaluate and use feedback to further develop an offer or experience.
- Experience working to multiple deadlines and managing your own workload.
- Strong organisation and planning skills, with a good eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Empathy with the aims of the National Trust.
- Great IT skills, including Microsoft Office, web, and social media.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
