Senior Visitor Experience Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at Newark Park, a beautiful historic house, garden, and estate located in the Cotswolds. As a key member of our property leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering exceptional visitor experiences that showcase the unique history and atmosphere of our site.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Property Operations Manager to shape every aspect of the visitor experience, ensuring it is informed by our unique history and atmosphere.
- Plan and deliver a programme of events that cater to regular visitors, locals, and new audiences, with a focus on inspiring and engaging experiences.
- Lead on marketing, volunteering, interpretation, and signage, ensuring high standards of presentation and service throughout the site.
- Collaborate with the house, garden, and estate teams to understand our spirit of place and ensure a cohesive visitor experience.
- Supervise volunteers and line manage one staff member, the Visitor Experience Officer.
- Experience of delivering inspirational engagement activities to varied audiences.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality interpretation and marketing materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and supervise volunteers.
- Understanding of an audience-led approach and the ability to evaluate and use feedback to further develop an offer or experience.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with a good eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Empathy with the aims of the National Trust.
- Great IT skills, including Microsoft Office and web and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
