Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team in the Preston area as an Academy IT Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operating systems, networking, hardware, and software commonly used in schools.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing new software and upgrading existing applications, providing technical support for teachers and pupils, maintaining and developing the school's website and intranet, and ensuring internet systems are safe and offer full child protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing new software and upgrading existing applications
  • Providing technical support for teachers and pupils
  • Maintaining and developing the school's website and intranet
  • Ensuring internet systems are safe and offer full child protection
  • Training teachers, students, and other staff

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware, and software commonly used in schools
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Recent experience of working in a school environment or similar setting
  • Hardworking and flexible, and able to use their initiative
