Fostering Reviewing Officer

The Fostering Reviewing Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of standards of care provided by the council's foster carers and Supported Lodging Hosts. This involves chairing their Annual Foster Carer Review meetings, identifying strengths and gaps in skill levels and competency, and providing support to carers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the effective quality of Supervising Social Workers reports and practice, and identifying areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Fostering IRO undertaking Annual Foster Carer Reviews. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with foster carers, social workers, and other stakeholders. A strong understanding of the fostering service and its policies and procedures is essential.
