About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fostering Reviewing Officer to join our team at Barnet Council. As a key member of our Fostering Service, you will play a vital role in monitoring and reviewing the quality and effectiveness of standards of care provided by our foster carers and Supported Lodging Hosts.
Key Responsibilities
- Chair Annual Foster Carer Review meetings to ensure the quality and effectiveness of standards of care.
- Identify strengths and gaps in skill levels and competency, considering any development areas in the foster carer assessment process and provision of support offered to carers.
- Ensure the effective quality of Supervising Social Workers reports and practice.
- Identify practice that is not delivering good outcomes and constructively challenge to improve practice.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Fostering IRO undertaking Annual Foster Carer Reviews.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
