About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapy Operational Lead to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Operating Model, you will be responsible for managing the Physiotherapy service at St Richards Hospital, working closely with the Therapy Site Lead and Professional Lead for Physiotherapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible and accountable for operational and clinical management and delivery of the inpatient and non-MSK out-patient Physiotherapy services.
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and performance of the Physiotherapy service.
  • Actively promote and develop equality and diversity practices and delivery to promote equity of access of care for patients and equity of access to job opportunities and development opportunities for staff.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist assessment and treatment within the designated area.
  • Use professional and clinical leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive training and personal development plan for all Physiotherapy staff.
  • Responsible with the other members of the Physiotherapy Leadership team for maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, evidence-based practice, and quality assurance for the Physiotherapy service.
Person Specification
  • Professional Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy.
  • Relevant Masters Level qualification or equivalent.
  • HCPC Registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Experience of Team Lead Management as Band 7.
