Job Title: Advanced Clinical Fellow in Colorectal Surgery

Department: Colorectal Surgery

Job Summary:

This is a senior specialist registrar position in advanced colorectal surgery, offering experience in open and laparoscopic colorectal surgery, TEMS, and advanced endoscopy. The role is suitable for candidates with significant previous training in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery, including endoscopy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain experience in advanced open and laparoscopic colorectal surgery, TEMS, and advanced endoscopy
  • Participate in emergency duties on the registrar rota and elective sessions at Western General Hospital and peripheral hospitals
  • Develop skills in therapeutic endoscopy, pelvic floor, complex pelvic surgery, IBD surgery, and robotic surgery

Requirements:

  • Senior specialist registrar (ST6 or above) with significant previous training in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery
  • Experience in endoscopy and advanced surgical procedures
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment and participate in emergency duties
