Child Support Specialist

Norfolk County Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to fill the role of Intensive Support Worker. This position involves providing critical guidance and support to children and their families, empowering them to thrive within their community.
The ideal candidate will possess several years' experience in working directly with children and families, demonstrating a strong understanding of child development from birth to 19. They will also have excellent communication skills, enabling them to deliver targeted interventions one-to-one or in groups, with children, young people, and parents/caregivers.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to promote safety and well-being among children and families.
- Collaborate with Social Workers and Family Practitioners to provide timely and effective support.
- Embrace Norfolk Vital Signs for children as an approach that underpins work with children and families.
- Minimum NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience providing services for children and young people, and their families.
- Strong understanding of child development from birth to 19, including factors impeding overall development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive salary of £31,049 per annum (Grade G).
