Accounting & Finance Director

Think Specialist Recruitment is proud to be supporting a rapidly growing electrical wholesale business in their search for a highly skilled Finance Director. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in managing financial operations, developing financial strategies, and leading high-performing teams. They will be responsible for bringing all financial functions in-house, including management accounts, year-end accounts, and payroll. The successful candidate will also be expected to work closely with the owner/MD to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth.
The company is looking for a candidate who is a qualified accountant with year-end experience and exposure in a high-growth SME business. They will be required to work onsite in High Wycombe and will have the opportunity to get involved in other business ventures supporting the MD in future plans.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth
- Managing financial operations, including management accounts, year-end accounts, and payroll
- Leading a high-performing team of financial professionals
- Working closely with the owner/MD to develop and implement financial strategies
- Ensuring all financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents are accurate and submitted on time
- Managing relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions
- Bringing payroll in-house
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Seeking opportunities to streamline the business and enhance profitability
