Finance and Payroll Officer

FryerMiles is partnering with a leading school in High Wycombe to recruit a Finance and Payroll Officer on a permanent basis. This role will involve working 41 weeks per year, during school term times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the school's finance team and assist the Senior Leadership Team with financial data and analysis.
  • Process purchasing card transactions, reconcile credit card control accounts, and input accounting data into the accounting system.
  • Manage staff changes in the payroll system, including new starters and leavers, and undertake monthly payroll reconciliation.
  • Produce financial reports for the Director of Business Services and provide training to school budget holders on the finance system.
  • Collate financial and payroll data for internal scrutiny and assist with external audit queries.
  • Ensure all processing procedures align with the Trust's Financial Procedures Handbook and Scheme of Financial Delegation.
  • Plan and manage your workload to meet the school's financial reporting deadlines.
  • Support other finance team members with trip finance, ParentMail, and invoices.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a similar finance position.
