Job Description

Think Specialist Recruitment is excited to be supporting a rapidly growing electrical wholesale business in their search for a Head of Finance/Finance Director. This is a newly created position that requires a qualified Accountant with year-end experience and exposure in a high-growth SME business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic work with the Managing Director to build and grow the business
  • Management of the back-office team, including transactional staff
  • Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Transition to Group reporting and ensuring accuracy of financial statements
  • Manage HMRC submissions for PAYE and VAT, as well as relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions
  • Bringing Payroll in-house and managing customer credit and credit insurance
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
  • Analysis of potential expansion opportunities and seeking ways to streamline the business and enhance profitability

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a wholesale business, possibly within retail or distribution, and have a strong understanding of high-growth business strategies. They will be a qualified Accountant with year-end experience and be able to manage the full cycle of accounts, from transactional staff to year-end accounts.

The company offers a competitive salary and flexibility to suit. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite in High Wycombe.
