We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at Marc Daniels, a fast-paced and global company based in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a broad and diverse role, working closely with our commercial teams to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting
    • Develop a suite of expense reports that provide detailed insights into year-to-date spend and forecasted expenses, ensuring transparency and accuracy for our commercial organisation.
    • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate accruals, Purchase Orders, and expense recognition, working closely with our commercial teams to ensure seamless execution.
    • Prepare reports and analysis to support our teams in ensuring travel expenses are appropriate and within budget, driving cost savings and efficiency.
  • Monthly Forecast and Annual Budget Submission
    • Collaborate with our commercial teams to ensure accurate forecasts of cost centres are submitted into our Financial Planning System, driving business growth and informed decision-making.
    • Update project trackers, ensuring new funding requests are correctly captured and teams are held accountable for delivering their forecasts, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare variance analysis on changes versus prior submissions, highlighting opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives that can be reinvested into priority projects, driving business growth and success.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to enhance our expense reporting, leveraging tools such as Power BI to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • Ad-hoc Projects and Analysis
    • Contribute to various projects and initiatives, providing financial expertise and analysis to support business growth and success.
    Requirements
    • Degree and fully qualified accountant, ACA or CIMA (first-time passes preferred).
    • Proven experience working with senior management within a commercial organisation.
    • Proven experience working in a complex business environment and matrix organisation.
    • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry is preferred.
    • Previous experience working with Financial Planning Systems and SAP.
    • Power BI experience.
    • Well-organised, proactive, and able to prioritise during time-pressured periods.
    • A general interest in commercial and marketing issues relevant to the financial planning and management of a healthcare business.
