Energy Strategy Developer for EMEA Energy

The EMEA Energy & Water Resources team at oilandgasjobsearch is focused on delivering secure, sustainable, and affordable energy and water infrastructure for our customers. The energy sources we use include electricity to power data centers, with a secure power supply and cost-effective energy backed by renewable credentials.

You will develop energy strategies to scale data centers, identify energy generation and storage technologies, and support sustainable power solutions. You will also understand energy market barriers and risks, analyzing energy markets across EMEA, and the impact of technological, network, policy, and regulatory variables.

Key responsibilities include identifying renewable generation projects, systemic risks in power markets, opportunities for a cleaner grid, and strategic energy sourcing opportunities. You will also deliver energy innovation projects, manage energy projects, and work with regulators to develop energy policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop innovative renewable generation projects.
  • Identify systemic risks in power markets and mitigation strategies.
  • Explore opportunities for a cleaner grid in EMEA.
  • Work with partner teams on strategic energy sourcing.
  • Deliver energy innovation projects.
  • Manage energy projects.
  • Collaborate with regulators on energy policies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in utility, energy, or power systems businesses.
  • Proven understanding of power market design and energy markets.
  • Exceptional analytical skill set.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in developing and delivering renewable generation or energy innovation projects.
  • Experience working with policymakers and energy regulators.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and data centers.
  • Business language proficiency in English, with additional languages advantageous.

Estimated Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum
