GMP Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

Abbott Diabetes Care is seeking a highly skilled GMP Compliance Specialist to join our manufacturing and R&D facility in Witney, West Oxfordshire. As a key member of our Environmental Monitoring Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanroom monitoring activities are completed to maintain sterility assurance level in our Witney manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine environmental monitoring of clean rooms, including air, surface, and compressed air sampling.
  2. Conduct particle counts, microbial sampling, and other tests to assess clean room conditions.
  3. Document and report findings accurately, maintaining detailed records of all monitoring activities.
  4. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards.
  5. Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address any deviations or issues.
  6. Calibrate and maintain monitoring equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  7. Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of clean room protocols and procedures.
  9. Train and mentor manufacturing personnel on clean room best practice.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a scientific subject or equivalent experience in an ISO cleanroom environment. Excellent attention to detail skills, a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, and the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances or new demands are also essential. You will be expected to spend time in the manufacturing facility, so good hands-on practical skills and good IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, are required.
