Salary: NHS Band 7 equivalent salary with a market supplement.

Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated physiotherapist to provide a neurodevelopmental paediatric physiotherapy service to children aged 0-18 years who have developmental disorders and neurological disabilities.

About the Role
This role involves assessing and managing children's gross motor needs, providing specialist advice to other disciplines, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to:
  • Provide a neurodevelopmental paediatric physiotherapy service to children aged 0-18 years (and up to 19 years in special schools)
  • Carry out physiotherapy assessments and be experienced in the use of relevant standardised assessments and outcome measures
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team, families, carers, and other professionals to maintain a holistic view of the child or young person
  • Encourage functional independence in relation to gross motor activities through the assessment and prescription of equipment and aids as required

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • BSc/Msc Physiotherapy degree
  • HCPC registration
  • CSP registration
  • Extensive skills and knowledge of working with children and young people with complex neurodisability such as but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, ABI, complex congenital diseases/disorders, and Neuromuscular conditions
  • Excellent ability to plan and prioritise workload and highly skilled in assessment planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment, complying with professional and service standards, and working as an autonomous practitioner
  • Able to prepare clearly written reports (including EHCPs) for use by multiple agencies
