About the Opportunity

Pilgrims Europe seeks an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to drive business growth in our retail category. You will be responsible for leading and managing business growth within a defined customer base, ensuring accurate forecast management and a growth mindset to deliver against business objectives.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in major retail account management, preferably at Commercial Manager level within our industry due to the high-profile nature of such accounts. They will work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement strong customer plans, including instore and online activation plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead P&L responsibility for a defined account or portfolio of accounts, driving business growth in line with objectives.
  • Create and agree Customer Joint Business Plans.
  • Line management: mentor, people management, or support others' development in the team or wider.
  • Evaluate promotional performance and develop recommendations to maximize promotional effectiveness.
  • Work with marketing to develop and implement strong customer plans, including instore and online activation plans.
  • Effectively communicate performance, recommending actions to consolidate strengths and rectify underperformance.
  • Champion the customer within Pilgrims Europe.
  • Own Customer Strategy and wiring plans.
  • Manage forecasts and risks & opportunities to plan.
  • Foster new ROUTES TO MARKET, e.g., convenience store formats and online. This is critical to the role.
  • Deliver budgeted commercial KPIs in line with annual budgets & ZBB process. Agree stretch business improvement targets with Sales & Marketing Team in line with corporate objectives.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
  • Pension contribution up to 10%.
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays.
