The Manchester City Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead a team of professionals in providing complex assessments for specialist equipment and adaptations. About the RoleThis senior management position will oversee the daily operations of the Occupational Therapy team, ensuring that all services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have significant experience in a supervisory or managerial role, with a strong understanding of complex equipment and major adaptations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of professionals. They will also have a solid understanding of relevant social care legislation and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of occupational therapists in providing complex assessments for specialist equipment and adaptations.
- Chair non-stock equipment panels and manage performance in relation to key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.
- Sign off assessments and provide support, guidance, and advice in relation to assessment outcomes.
- Relevant OT qualification and experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Knowledge of complex equipment and major adaptations.
- Understanding of relevant social care legislation.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals.
- Current driving license and access to a vehicle.
Manchester City Council offers a competitive salary package, including a salary range of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
