About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced occupational therapist to fill a Band 6/7 Community Rehab Occupational Therapy position at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering holistic assessments and interventions to patients in their own homes or place of residence.

The successful candidate will have a recognized occupational therapy qualification, current HCPC registration, and experience of working in the NHS and community services. They should also possess excellent clinical skills, the ability to demonstrate person-centered approaches, and experience of supervising support staff.

In addition to managing a clinical caseload, the post holder will work autonomously, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and modifying individualized treatment programs. They will collaborate with colleagues to ensure patient needs and goals are met, using approaches that promote choice, participation, and quality of life.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to triage and manage patients on appropriate pathways of care, liaising closely with other health and social care professionals, including GPs, consultants, and social service partners. The post holder will also provide complex professional and clinical advice to clients, family members, carers, and healthcare professionals.
