About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first- and second-line support to internal banking staff and VIPs, with a focus on desktop and peripheral hardware support, application support, network connectivity, and remote connectivity. They will work within the Service Desk team to deliver all aspects of services, including maintenance and support of desktops, laptops, and Blackberries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-line support for desktop platforms in banking environments, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Maintain industry-recognized skills through training or self-study methods, including ITIL and Microsoft certifications.
  • Support Microsoft operating systems and office suite, as well as TCP/IP and basic networking skills.
  • Deploy desktop hardware, laptops, and Blackberries.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have 4-5 years of proven experience in desktop support, with a strong understanding of desktop platforms in banking environments. You should also have experience in operational deployments and desktop operating system refresh cycles, as well as familiarity with market data products.

What We Offer

Jas Gujral offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £45,000 per annum. The successful candidate will also receive benefits such as pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
