SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH teaching assistant to join our team in Evesham. As a SEMH teaching assistant, you will work closely with a SEMH pupil in Year 5, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programmes for SEND, as well as experience in SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral care. You will be patient, kind, and supportive, with a nurturing and compassionate mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a SEMH pupil in Year 5
  • Develop and implement support and intervention programmes for SEND
  • Work closely with the client to understand the pupil's needs and develop a tailored support plan
  • Communicate effectively with the client and other stakeholders to ensure the pupil's needs are met

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programmes for SEND
  • Experience in SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral care
  • Patience, kindness, and a nurturing and compassionate mindset
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach
