Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

Location: Evesham

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with a SEMH pupil in a 1:1 setting. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programs for SEND, as well as experience in SEN/SEMH and/or pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a SEMH pupil in a Year 5 setting
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the pupil's needs
  • Collaborate with the pupil's teacher and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the pupil's learning
  • Use behavioral management strategies to support the pupil's emotional and social development
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programs for SEND
  • Patience, nurturing, and kind mindset
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Previous experience working in a school setting
